Nia: (nodding) I get that. My family’s all over the place too. Everyone’s busy with their own lives. Sometimes, it feels like I’m the only one without a clear direction.
Cat: (licking paw) Maybe you’re just not looking at it the right way. You’re here, aren’t you? Enjoying the moment. That’s something.
Nia: (thoughtful) Yeah, but it’s hard not to feel lost sometimes. Especially with everyone around me seemingly having it all figured out.
Cat: (snorting) Figured out? Trust me, nobody has it all figured out. Take it from a cat who’s seen a lot. My friends think I’m crazy for wandering so much, but I like the adventure. The uncertainty.
Nia: (smiling) You’re quite the philosopher, Paka. So, do you have a special someone?
Cat: (chuckles) Nah, too much hassle. Tried it once with a Siamese down the street. She was beautiful, but too high maintenance. I prefer my freedom.
Nia: (laughing) Sounds like my ex. Always wanted more than I could give. Now, I'm just trying to find happiness on my own terms.
Cat: (tilting head) And how’s that working out for you?
Nia: (shrugs) Some days are better than others. Today’s not so bad. Good food, good company. Could be worse.
Cat: (purring) That’s the spirit. Life’s too short to worry about everything. Sometimes, you just have to enjoy the chapati.
Nia: (grinning) You know, you’re right. Maybe I’ve been overthinking things. Just need to take it one day at a time.
Cat: (stretching) Exactly. Now, how about sharing some of those nyama bits? It takes a great appetite to be a great philosopher.
Nia: (laughs) Sure, why not? Let’s enjoy the moment, Paka.
